Dr Julie Burke
BChD, FDS RCS (Eng), PhD
Julie Burke gained a degree in Dental Surgery from the University of Leeds School of Dentistry, UK, in 1995 and obtained her Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FDS.RCS) in 1999. In 2011, she completed her PhD in Tissue Engineering at Leeds University. She holds a Diploma in Conscious Sedation and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Dr Burke has held NHS and University posts within the specialties of Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery after completing vocational training in 1997. Julie is now a Senior Clinical Lecturer and Hon Consultant in Oral Surgery at the Edinburgh Dental Institute, where she is also Program Director of the Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry (Oral Surgery) and Certificate in Dental Sedation and Anxiety Management.
