Dr Kate Taylor is Senior Lecturer/Honorary Consultant in Oral Surgery at Liverpool University Dental Hospital. She qualified from Sheffield in 1993 and completed a number of Senior House Officer/Staff grade roles at Leeds Teaching Hospitals.

She was employed at Leeds as Clinical Lecturer and as part of the AACOMS training, she completed her PhD in Oral Epithelial wound healing in 2007AACOMS training was completed in the Yorkshire Region in 2013 and in January 2014, she was employed at Liverpool where she is Year Lead for Year 5, Clinical Lead for Oral Diagnosis and Academic Lead for Undergraduate Oral Diseases.

Her research focus is in educational research and human factors and her clinical focus is in the management of anxious patients.
