The Oral Surgery Managed Clinical Networks (MCNs) are regional organisations where leading oral surgeons and key stakeholders closely involved in the provision of primary, secondary and tertiary care services discuss quality assured evidence-based strategic matters in relation to the specialty. Typically, Commissioners and Public Health Consultants are also in attendance as well as representatives from other specialities and the general dental network, for a vital and supportive collaborative contribution. They work together to ensure that patients receive the care they need from suitably qualified practitioners in the most suitable location.  The key outcomes of the meetings are then disseminated to active performing members of the speciality and the wider profession at large.
